AbstractThe present study investigated the relationship between technology acceptance, electronic assessment (e-assessment) methods and the satisfaction of students at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran, using a descriptive-correlational design. The research population consisted of all the students (n = 14096) studying at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in the academic year 2021-2023. A sample of 387 students was selected using quota sampling. The data were collected using the Technology Acceptance Questionnaire (Teo, 2009) and two researcher-made satisfaction and e-assessment questionnaires, whose validity and reliability were estimated as 0.96 and 0.88, respectively. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM). The proposed model was evaluated using a two-step approach (Anderson & Gerbing, 1988). The Baron and Kenny (1986) approach and Sobel’s test (1982) were used to test the mediating relationships in the proposed model and their significance. The results showed a positive and significant relationship between e-assessment and student satisfaction (β=0.78). There was also a positive and significant relationship between the degree of technology acceptance and student satisfaction (β=0.16), but no significant relationship was found between e-assessment and the degree of technology acceptance among the students (β=0.01). These findings imply that technology acceptance cannot play a mediating role in the relationship between e-assessment and student satisfaction at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. However, satisfaction acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between technology acceptance and the assessment method. Keywords: E-assessment, Technology Acceptance, Student Satisfaction, Students, University.

The present study aims to investigate the technical and non-technical patterns of the curriculum in open and distance learning generations in order to identify the position of these foundations in the field of opinion and action. Decision-making in curriculum planning has a wide range and various groups are seeking to influence and participate in decisions related to curriculum planning. The research approach was descriptive-analytical and the strategy was qualitative and documentary. Curriculum planning is the process of predicting and preparing a set of learning opportunities for a specific population in order to achieve educational goals and objectives. This type of approach is applicable in technical curriculum planning. Another approach in curriculum planning is spontaneous decision-making and unplanned approach, which relates the planning process to the interactions between teachers and students. According to these two perspectives, a technical and non-technical approach to curriculum planning has emerged. Therefore, the teacher should select a small and limited framework of the curriculum process as a model and analyze and identify it in order to organize their educational activities in an appropriate situation and within the scope of that framework. In the present article, an overview of technical and non-technical curriculum patterns regarding educational requirements in the context of open and distance learning generations has been explored. The results in the curriculum patterns section support these patterns in the technical patterns section, including the Tyler model, and in the non-technical patterns section, including the Pinar model.

Online learning programs have gained significant popularity in recent years. However, despite their widespread adoption, completion and success rates for online courses are notably lower than those for traditional in-person education. If students' final academic performance could be predicted early by analyzing their behavior within the virtual learning environment, timely alerts could be issued, and targeted interventions could be recommended to prevent underperformance and course abandonment. Previous studies have predicted academic performance using various features, such as demographic data, academic history, in-term exam results, and assignment assessments. However, many online learning platforms do not provide access to such data, rendering these methods ineffective. This study focuses on the early prediction of students' academic performance by extracting novel behavioral features based on their interactions with the online learning platform. To develop robust predictive models, we utilize an integrated approach combining multiple feature selection methods to extract the most informative interaction patterns, followed by application of advanced machine learning algorithms including ensemble learning techniques and artificial neural networks (ANNs). The evaluation results demonstrate that our proposed approach can predict students' final academic performance with an accuracy of 90.62%, using only data collected during the first third of the online course.

E-learning has been extensively integrated into the educational system during the COVID-19 pandemic, aiming to enhance the quality of education. While introducing numerous benefits and positive impacts, this rapid transition has also posed new challenges that could potentially increase anxiety among elementary school teachers. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the relationship between web-based teaching components during the COVID-19 pandemic and anxiety levels among elementary school teachers, providing practical operational solutions. This research is applied in terms of purpose and correlational in terms of methodology. The statistical population of the study included all elementary school teachers in the city of Amol, totaling 750 individuals. A sample of 256 teachers was randomly selected from the city of Amol. Data were collected using the Salmi Anxiety Questionnaire, Abedini Chogordani, Ghasemi Nafchi, and Tabashir (2021), and a researcher-made questionnaire to measure web-based teaching components. The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed through face validity, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient was employed to determine the reliability of the research instrument. Data analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The findings indicated that the contributions of web-based teaching components, including support and virtual learning infrastructure (169.0), learning and technological complexity (141.0), electronic content production (267.0), and type of course instruction (203.0), were significant predictors of teachers' anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the contribution of the effective assessment component (107.0) was not statistically significant. Virtual education infrastructure, learning technological skills, acquiring content production skills, type of course instruction, were negative predictors of teachers' anxiety during the pandemic. The results of the study revealed a significant negative relationship between some web-based teaching components and anxiety levels. Therefore, it is recommended to reduce teaching anxiety in web-based education by implementing empowerment courses to develop online teaching skills, producing effective content, and fostering technological development in in-service teacher training.

The purpose of this study was to provide additional research to investigate the effects of mnemonic techniques and digital game-based task on teaching vocabulary to Iranian EFL students through distance education. To that end, a quasi-experimental research method with a pretest posttest non-equivalent control group design was used . The participants of the study were 75 pre-intermediate EFL learners and were chosen from among female learners. After homogenizing the participants through the Oxford Placement Test (OPT), the vocabulary knowledge test (VKS), developed by Wesche and Paribakht (1996), was used as the pretest and the posttest. For measuring the reliability of the test, it was piloted with thirty students who were similar to main sample of the study, which was found to be acceptable in terms of Cronbach’s alpha. The only difference between the pretest and posttest was the order of the items to diminish the practice effect. Then the participants were randomly divided into three equal groups of 25 (two experimental groups and one control group). During a 30-day teaching period, students in the experimental groups were taught English vocabulary using mnemonic and digital game while students in the control group were taught lessons using the traditional methods. After 7 sessions, a posttest of vocabulary was administered. Results of data analysis showed that mnemonic and digital game-based task techniques had a significant effect on teaching vocabulary to Iranian EFL students through distance education. However, no statistically significant difference was found between the effects of the two techniques. The findings of this research may have implications for EFL learners, teachers and curriculum designers.

research was conducted with the aim of investigating the lived experience of professors of formative evaluation during virtual education. This research was done using qualitative approach and phenomenological design. In order to collect data, semi-structured qualitative interview was used. The number of people participating in the research was 10 professors of Bu Ali Sina University, which was achieved by using targeted sampling, after conducting 10 interviews, and audio and visual recording and their content were implemented in textual form. Interview data were analyzed in three stages of open, central and selective coding to classify concepts and categories. In-depth analysis of professors' views led to the identification of factors in three areas. The findings of the research showed that the quality of students' learning was based on the implementation of formative evaluation in the form of meaningful and qualitative learning. Also, two major challenges include weakness in evaluation culture and human resources and weakness in infrastructure and facilities, and strengthening the pedagogical knowledge of professors is the most important strategy to improve the quality of formative evaluation. As a result, paying attention to these factors can lead to the high-quality implementation of formative evaluation in the course of virtual education.

Objective: The new development in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) education has raised interest with a sense of urgency about further refining it in the area of science education. Method: The qualitative study provides an insight into views of science teachers about the potential and limitation of employing ChatGPT in science education and how to take advantage of such technology-based developments. Methods: The research was conducted based on 46 science teachers of Zanjan province, using the snowball sampling method. Results: The teachers gave feedback on how ChatGPT can be beneficial and restrictive as an effective educational tool for their classroom. Overall, findings paint a picture where even though the teachers openly acknowledged that ChatGPT is full of potential to make so much space for interaction, they were still concerned about the impact of the technology, for instance, making too much dependency on the technology among the learners and how the tools impede the capacity of the students in thinking critically and creatively. The results also support discussion of future Career development opportunities with responsive curricula redesign for the sake of leveraging the possibilities of AI tools in an effort to support learning. Practice and policy implications and directions for research on the career development opportunities are considered in the conclusion and limitations of the study. Conclusion: .This study adds to the growing field of education and AI by highlighting the need to balance innovation with pedagogical responsibility. It shows that AI can enhance teaching as a supportive tool, not a replacement. Successful integration requires attention to equity, ethics, and collaboration among educators, policymakers, and technologists.

Abdelaziz and Zehmi (2020) reported that “pictures, videos and PowerPoint presentations with interactive practice activities served as motivating and stimulating factors in delivering the lessons” (p.16). To examine other potentials of visual tools, we used animated educational GIFs (graphics interchange format) as the educational intervention based on strategies suggested by the computer-assisted nonlinear dynamic approach (CANDA) to test their efficacy in developing learners’ grammatical proficiency. To this end, mixed methods research was used to concurrently triangulate different strands of data on the effects of educational GIFs on grammatical proficiency among randomly sampled adolescent and adult participants. The interpretations were made based on methodological triangulation of QUAN + QUAL data and running one-way ANOAV. Pedagogical implication of the study confirms the efficacy of animated educational GIFs as a tool to enhance learners’ grammatical proficiency in mastering progressive tenses (present, past, and future).

Due to importance of instructor empowering of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Iran, this paper discussed effective challenges and mechanisms. Therefore, by investigating other studies and collecting data from a questionnaire from instructors of Iran’s TVET, key factors of challenges and mechanisms were identified and confirmed by using expert’s opinion. In the next step, the correlation and effectiveness of each factor were analyzed by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In the SEM, the Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (SRMR) test was used to assess the fit of the proposed model to the investigated data. The obtained results showed that all identified challenges and mechanisms are significant in the 95% level and have the SRMR values 0.095 and 0.048, respectively. Also, the results represented that the most challenges faced to the instructors were limited internet access, software issues, and limited accessibility features. The findings also suggest several mechanisms for strengthening the teacher empowerment system in the context of online education. These mechanisms include training for all, flexible learning options, and development of virtual content. In conclusion, providing training courses for online teachers, creating specific frameworks for online education processes, strategic planning and allocating the required financial resources are among the most important suggestions that can be deduced from this research.

Multi-grade classes are one of the realities of our educational system. Academic motivation is known as a challenge for educational systems in developing countries. According to the rapid advances in science and technology, the utilization of blended learning seems to solve this challenge. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of blended learning on students' academic motivation in multi-grade classes. The study was quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with the control group. The statistical population was all students of primary multi-grade classes in Ghaen (n=2200 with 160 classes). The statistical sample was 28 multi-grade students selected using the two-stage cluster sampling method. Also, to collect data, Harter's academic motivation questionnaire was used with Cronbach's alpha of 0.92. The SPSS application and covariance test used to analyze the data. The results showed that academic motivation scores in the experimental group were more than the control group (p≤0.05, f (25.1) = 4.23). According to ETA squares, the blended approach explains 37% of the variance of academic motivation post-test scores (p<0.05, ŋ2=37%). According to the findings and the challenges of teaching in multi-grade classes, this method is not just one option but seems to be the best solution for resolving multi-grade problems.

The present study was conducted with the aim of explaining the effect of knowledge management empowerment through distance learning on the performance and organizational intelligence of middle school administrators in Nimroz city. The present study is applied in terms of its purpose and is classified as a quantitative descriptive-correlation research. The statistical population of the present study consists of all middle school administrators in Nimroz city in the academic year 1402-1403, who were selected as the research sample by census method, 12 men and 12 women. The data collection tool included the Nonaka and Takachi Knowledge Management Questionnaire (1995), Yazdanijedah Manager Performance Questionnaire (2009), and Albrecht Manager Organizational Intelligence Questionnaire (2002). The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed using SPSS26 software and descriptive statistics such as tables and graphs to show demographic characteristics, and Pearson correlation coefficient and regression test were used to infer data. After data collection, the distribution of data was examined to see if it followed a normal distribution using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. The results indicated that there was a positive and significant relationship between the components of knowledge management through distance learning and the organizational performance of managers, and also between the components of knowledge management and the total score of knowledge management and the organizational intelligence of managers. Empowering the component of knowledge application is effective on the organizational performance of managers, and empowering the component of knowledge sharing and application of knowledge is effective on all components of organizational intelligence (p≤0.05). Therefore, education and training, by expanding and applying virtual networks and distance learning through Sky Room, can create a dynamic space so that managers can develop their knowledge, achieve new ideas, and acquire new knowledge.

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to identify MOOC ethical features of Courses & Online MOOC courses in higher education. Methods: This study was designed as embedded mixed model research to provide a better understanding of the research problem. Throughout this research, both the heuristic inquiry method and the questionnaire method were applied to obtain and analyze the data. At the primary stage, ethical features of Courses & Online MOOC courses were identified. The content analysis method was used for qualitative data, and for quantitative data, both weighted mean and Friedman test were used. The statistical population in the qualitative section of the study includes the electronic resources related to the research subject and, in the quantitative section, 60 distance education experts in the field of planning in virtual learning environments and virtual universities so that 36 of these experts were voluntarily selected as the study sample. Results: Content analysis results showed 4 dimensions and 16 criteria. The evaluation results of the experts also showed that interacting with the global network, the ease of online interactions with learners and other organizations, and the possibility of receiving electronic assignments or workbooks during the course, are regarded as the most important ethical characteristics of Courses online MOOC courses; security and privacy of individuals ought to be considered in their interactions, observance of the principles related to confidentiality with regards to the files or marks, with other participants through emails, chats, forums, etc. Conclusions: In these courses, the features of online courses and openness for enrollment are emphasized and predominant. Therefore, there is no need to get involved in new ethical features. Since the maximum current size of online classes is 60 students, various factors of these indicators such as learner agents, instructive organization, content, and teaching and learning environment ought to be accurately studied. Given that the capacity of learners may reach the limit of hundreds and thousands, the kind of considered ethics should be beyond the procedure implemented for online classes.

The purpose of this research is to know the lived experience of Ahvaz city teachers in teaching bilingual students and it was done by phenomenological method. The research community includes all primary school teachers in Ahvaz. Sampling was done in a purposeful way and all the samples were chosen voluntarily from among the teachers who dealt with bilingual students. The sample size depended on data saturation, which finally included 21 people. The data collection method is a semi-structured interview. After collecting the data, it was coded and analyzed. Analyzes have been done using thematic analysis. After analyzing the experiences of participating teachers, the findings include 6 main themes and 13 sub-themes. The main themes are: non-native language, inconsistency between the language of the teacher and the learner, learner's disability and teacher's fatigue, love to teaching, communication, local language, methods. The result of the research shows that establishing a friendly relationship with children, involving students and their parents in their children's educational affairs, using educational aids suitable for the local and environmental conditions of bilingual students are more effective in their education. Also, teachers of bilingual schools should participate in classes and workshops that provide the correct methods of interaction with bilingual students and relative familiarity with their language and culture.
