چکیده

پژوهش حاضر با هدف بررسی این موضوع بود که آیا بین انگیزه و یادگیری زبان انگلیسی از طریق شاد و واتساپ از نظر زبان آموزان دبیرستانی ایرانی همبستگی معنادار وجود دارد یا خیر. علاوه بر این، این مطالعه با هدف تعیین اینکه آیا جنسیت شرکت‌کنندگان رابطه بین انگیزه و یادگیری زبان انگلیسی از طریق شاد و واتساپ را تعدیل می‌کند یا خیر. برای تحقق این اهداف، یک مطالعه همبستگی راه‌اندازی شد و داده‌هایی از 169 یادگیرنده مرد و زن جمع‌آوری شد که برخی از آنها در معرض واتس‌اپ قرار گرفتند و بقیه شاد را به عنوان پلتفرم کلاس زبان انگلیسی خود دریافت کردند. داده های به دست آمده از پرسشنامه انگیزش و آزمون زبان انگلیسی زبان آموزان با استفاده از آزمون کولموگروف اسمیرنوف، همبستگی پیرسون و فرمول تبدیل z فیشر مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت تا به نتایج پژوهش دست یافت. یافته ها نشان داد که بین انگیزه و یادگیری زبان انگلیسی زبان آموزان گروه واتساپ رابطه متوسط، مثبت و معنی دار آماری وجود دارد. همچنین مشخص شد که بین انگیزه و یادگیری زبان انگلیسی زبان آموزان گروه شاد رابطه ضعیف، مثبت و معنادار آماری وجود دارد و جنسیت نقش تعدیل کننده ای در رابطه بین انگیزه و درآمد زبان انگلیسی زبان آموزان ندارد. نه در واتس اپ و نه در گروه های شاد. پیامدهای مطالعه ارائه شده و مورد بحث قرار می گیرد.
